Hi, I’m Katie!

I’ve been honing my graphic & web design skills for 9+ years while working in the marketing agency world. I started designing while studying Graphic Design, Painting & Advertising at Drake University. Recently, I’ve also been working part-time at a non-profit, where I’ve had the opportunity to apply my skills in new and impactful ways. I excel in building & designing WordPress & Shopify sites, creating packaging designs, digital designs, print designs, making explainer videos, & anything else I can do to help support clients and my team.

I enjoy keeping up with the ever-changing design world & thrive when learning new skills. In my free time, I love taking art classes, traveling globally, adding to my growing design & typography book collection, & entertaining (or being entertained by) my two energetic cats.

Work Examples

Do to the competitive nature of working at an agency, I am not able to share my client work online. However, below are some examples of freelance work, personal projects, and work that is similar to what I do in my current position.

Logo, Packaging, Amazon, & Web Design

Base Vegan Support

I prepared a supplement brand called Base Vegan Support to sell its Omega-3 supplement on Amazon. This involved creating a logo, branding, label design, and building & designing a website that guides customers to purchase the supplement on Amazon.

Gong Fu Tea

Gong Fu Tea is a tea shop I enjoyed going to while in college. I redesigned their website as a way to demonstrate my proficiency in e-commerce web design. I transformed their existing site to have a more user-friendly structure, stronger search feature, and better organization for in-store events and education blog posts.
