Phthalo Synesthete is a fictitious post-rock band that I created for a Research & Application Design class project. The (fake) band members are very into the idea of synesthesia, which is when your senses cross pathways. One form of synesthesia allows the person to associate colors with sounds. The band plays with that idea in their music, dedicating each song to a paint color they think it represents. I painted, photographed, and designed a mock album cover, CD package, and Facebook page for the band. I really enjoyed being creative with my ideas for the band, as well as mixing painting and design with this project.
